At one point in our lives, we have come across situations that have made us ascribe to given health routines. We have either quit sugary foods and wheat to reduce the amount of mucus in our bodies or we have downloaded given exercise apps to give us daily routines so that we can achieve the perfect abs, flat tummy, assets, and to generally maintain fitness. Those with strong endurance achieve these results without a doubt, whereas the latter may not.
On Youtube, TikTok, and every single platform where you can get health tips, everyone has advice to give so it's difficult to discern who is right or wrong. Meat and dairy are bad for you. Overcooked food is bad for you. Eat your vegetables raw. Don’t eat before you exercise. Warming food in a microwave causes cancer. These are some examples of the never-ending cycle of do this and don’t do that.
One major thing we always forget is that our bodies are as different as our fingerprints. We carry complex structures within us that function in systematic ways. I mean, I know science tries to explain to us how deoxygenated blood is converted to oxygenated blood by its passage through the heart and lungs but if you think about it, we are complex beings and everything that happens within our bodies follows the same path, at the same time, and in the same place. It's systematic and will never change unless a new species of Homo sapiens come to earth.
Our bodies determine what is good for us
We need to listen to our internal environment. Whenever you drink that tea and feel sick give it up. Whenever you eat that meat and feel your body appreciate it continue to include it in your diet. If you feel rejuvenated after a morning jog, keep up the good spirit. But remember everything needs moderation otherwise once something is in excess it becomes poison. After exercise, give your muscles a rest to repair themselves. I recently came across an article which stated that pineapple contains an enzyme that digests protein, meaning as we eat it its eating us back. Good thing is that once we swallow the pineapple the acids in our stomach destroy the enzymes. Our bodies are well structured, perfectly defined, and complex. No wonder God created us last.
Follow your body’s needs by listening to what it wants. Give yourself healthy advice that is specific to improve YOUR body’s wellbeing and not another person’s. What works for you may not work for another and vice versa.
Your body is unique RAIRgem. Treat it as so.
